We offer three tiers of wedding rates, and while rates will increase for 2009, anyone booking a 2009 wedding by Dec. 31, 2008, will receive the 2008 rates.

For your convenience, we accept payment by credit card, debit card, check or cash.

Half Day—$650 ($850 for five hours of photography in 2009) — Four hours of photography the day of the wedding. This generally includes posed photos before the ceremony, candids from the ceremony, more posed photos after the ceremony and candids for part of the reception.

Full Day—$1,100 ($1,300 in 2009) — Photography for the full wedding day. This usually includes candids of the bride’s and groom’s parties as they prepare for the ceremony, pre- and post-ceremony posed photography, candids during the ceremony and candids throughout the full remainder of the day and night, including the reception and dance. It’s the latter category of candids that often produces the most lasting memories and generates the biggest laughs when those photos are shared among friends and family. We’ve all been to wedding receptions and dances, and such great fun and careless behavior makes for wonderful photographs.

Two-Day—$1,500 ($1,700 in 2009) —Added to the full wedding day, we will provide a full evening of photographing the wedding rehearsal and groomsmen’s dinner the day before the wedding. This addition has grown in popularity just as the popularity of candid, spontaneous photographs has grown. The huge majority of wedding photographers don’t provide this service, even though clients often ask for it.

Travel within 50 miles of Ely is at our expense. Beyond 50 miles, travel expenses including mileage and a motel stay are added to the above rates. Our clients have gotten married as far from Ely as Minneapolis and Fargo, and we will travel to wherever you are to capture your special day.

In all three tiers, we’ll provide compact discs or DVDs of the images at no additional cost to you, and a signed release to allow you to make your own prints, as well as a tip sheet on printing your pictures or having them printed off CD/DVD in a big box store or photography store.

At your request, instead of the CD/DVD option, we’ll make a large variety of images available in a secure online gallery viewed only by people with a password, and you can order prints directly from that gallery using a credit card.

We will book your date as soon as we receive payment up front for half the estimate, with the final half due before shooting begins the day of the rehearsal or wedding.
